Nepal & India

Kathmandu, Nepal

We started our trip ministering to about 300 pastors and leaders in the largest church in Nepal. Although it was a smaller gathering than many, there was a strong representation of many who have laid down their lives to reach Nepal with the Gospel. One such, Pastor Krishna Bati, has endured multiple beatings and imprisonment for the gospel and has over 70 remote churches. All of the leaders were excited to see God energize the churches. This was not like America, where you are inundated with new teachings, CD sets, audio messages, Christian cable channels etc. When they hear something like this, they will put it to use and teach their flocks. We also ran into several Americans who came to Nepal to run an orphanage or work in deliverance ministry with drug addicts. They heard about the meetings and came. They are laborers in God’s vineyard whose reward does not include recognition from men and seem very encouraged to have meetings like this come to their area.

There were many healings, including a tumor disappearing, at least one deaf ear opening, and a crippled person walking. I don’t know even a fraction of the testimonies because it was happening all around us; these are only some that I picked up. For me, it is a blur to try to remember who I prayed for and all of what God did.

After the conference, we got together to collect counts of certain types of healings. My favorite category was called “blasted.” A blasted was not a fall down; it had to be a blasted. Randy said that healing, etc, is his second priority. His primary calling is to go around the world, searching for the Heidi Bakers and Leif Hetlands and imparting to them. For him, the chance that God would commission a world changer is why he was there. You can only teach so much in three days and we believe that the real key is that we left them with an impartation from God. By the third day, they were moving and understanding the flow of God in a way that they will not forget. A primary message of Randy to the pastors is that they exist to serve the body, not to be served.

Chandigarh, India

The pastors here were hungry to move in the power of God, and so were we. The pastors were mixed, with about half from more rural areas and about half from the cities. On the first day there were several deaf ears opened, a lady with lung problems was healed and people got blasted.

There were team members on this trip from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and Singapore. They were from all over, but all hungry and all desperately wanting the Presence of God. There was great unity with a common thread of desiring a move of Holy Spirit, despite being from different streams and denominations.

On the second day, a teenage deaf mute (from birth) was healed and began hearing and speaking. The fire of God fell on lots of the pastors. Several people with metal in their bodies were able, after prayer, to move things that they had not been able to move. We saw many other healings - the stage was full of them! By the end of the meeting there were about 150 people testifying that they were healed.

Northern India has been closed to the gospel for awhile and parts still are. Several states still have anti-conversion laws and are very hostile to believers. Some of those pastors were at this conference, though a large group of pastors could not make it when a transportation worker strike prevented them from riding the bus. We had about 550 at the meetings.

We finished the conference with impartation and many got blasted; we had several blind eyes and deaf ears opened. Lots of healings of miscellaneous things - I can’t remember them all. We saw pancreas, digestive issues, pains in every conceivable area, asthma, migraines, deliverances, metal in the body causing restricted movement and pain, kidney stone and pains, etc, all healed. The people (mostly pastors) got a touch from God that they will not forget. By day three they really got it and were all asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit and fire of God. Lots of prophetic words were given.

There was a Hindu festival scheduled to run for a couple of days. The state this festival is in has an anti-conversion law and the Hindu party chief of the state said that during the festival they were going to force Christian converts to renounce Christ. The north of India still undergoes waves of persecution from time to time. They threatened that if the believers did not renounce Christ they were going to sacrifice their daughters to the Hindu gods. We prayed against this as a corporate group. After prayer, we received a word that while preparations were being set up for the festival, a giant swarm of bees came and drove all of the workers away and stung them. Then, a tremendous rainfall began and ruined their preparations. Praise the Lord!

Vellore, India

Vellore is a big and spread out city, poor and rural, people everywhere. I could feel the darkness as we drove in, and I could feel excitement at the same time in my spirit. We did not go to the crusade the first two nights because of security concerns.

On day two we heard good news from the crusade the previous night. Only 10,000 people attended as there was severe opposition to stop the event from happening. We got word that a mentally challenged boy was healed and restored to his right mind, along with many other healings. The police force came to arrest the pastor when he gave the invitation, a direct result of the anti-conversion law. They did not arrest him; rather all the police that were present got saved.

During the days, we went to villages in teams of three plus a translator. It was fairly spread out, a mixture of cement and mud huts. Some churches were just a tiny mud hut room.

We saw God do many healings of various ailments. Deaf ears opened, backs, shoulders, short legs were all healed. One lady had a metal rod in her arm from an accident and could not move her thumb or close her hand. After prayer, she could move her thumb properly and got significant improvement in the fingers. Another lady had gotten burned from lighting herself on fire to commit suicide and could not turn her neck because of the burnt skin and pain. She was able, after ministry, to turn her head without pain. God also worked on her heart. Teams reported that a witch house couple got saved, blind eyes opened, 70+ people saved at one village, a bed-ridden mute man up and about talking, and another village with 30 saved, along with many other ailments.

On the third day, the local authorities cleared us to go to the crusade that night. Thank you God for favor! Previously they had opposed us, but over the previous two nights they had seen the ministry and many of them had gotten saved. Many afflicting spirits were driven out by the Lord. I don’t remember anyone that was not either healed or got a significant touch from the Lord. God definitely strengthened these churches and I believe they will never be the same.
