Peace & Power in the Midst of Darkness

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27

The peace which Jesus gives to us, combined with the power of the Holy Spirit within us, will lead us to dark places and difficult situations. The truth is that Jesus has already triumphed over the powers of darkness and through us, he advances his kingdom every day. When we are faced with hard situations, when we experience spiritual warfare, his peace sustains us. The Spirit reminds us that “the same Spirit which rose Christ from the dead lives within me” and “greater is he who is in me than he that is in the world.”

In today’s video Will Hart teaches on these key truths and their impact on our lives. What fears are you battling today? When worry about finances, personal freedom, the state of the Church, the future of your nation, etc — when these worries come to your mind, this is the answer! The peace which Jesus has given you (and continues to make available to you every day) is not like the peace that the world looks for. It’s not dependent on things going right. Jesus’ peace — our peace — is a rock and immovable because it’s coming from Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

As you watch this video from Will, allow the Holy Spirit to bring to mind any sneaky fears that you’ve been ignoring. Be they angst about cultural turmoil or fear of being called as a missionary to a dark place. The only way we can renew creation, the only way we can be a force of change, the only way we can bring light into darkness is to ride in on Jesus’ peace and the power of the Holy Spirit.

P.S. Will Hart will be back with us for some upcoming conferences. I’d encourage you to check out our Events page here → to see if God would lead you to a fresh opportunity there.
