Pause to renew.

To Walk In Power, Change the Way You Think

Jesus said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Many of us were taught that this means we need to confess our sins and stop sinning. Of course, we do want and need to grow in holiness, but the word here used for “repent” actually means “change the way you think”.

In my years of healing ministry, I have been challenged over and over in how I think. The blockages we face in praying for the sick are in our minds, in our hearts, in the “vain imaginings” that exalt themselves against the knowledge of Christ. Jesus is telling us — commanding us — to change the way we think.

Say this with me: “With man, it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

I’m posting a short video for you that’s pulled from a longer message I gave in Dayton, Ohio earlier this year. Some of you were there with me when I delivered it, but this is such an important thing for us to grasp that I wanted to feature it here on the blog. As you watch the video, allow the Holy Spirit to reveal any places where your thoughts are stuck in what your past has told you or where your understanding of science may have limited your faith.

“How did God do that?”

What a beautiful question to ask! If we can get to place where we address God’s mysterious ways with curiousity instead of unbelief (or disbelief), I think we’ll be on our way to walking in greater levels of his supernatural activity. It’s similar to the difference between Zechariah and Mary, two people who received similar pronouncements from Gabriel the angel. Zechariah seems to have responded out of unbelief while Mary’s response, though seemingly similar, carries a clear note of acceptance and submission to the impossible. In that moment, she changed the way she thought to embrace the nonsensical, thereby allowing faith to get on board.

It seems that every month at Global Awakening, we hear a report of a healing that should be impossible. Sometimes we even get the medically-verified reports to prove the healing happened, but every time God operates in a higher law than the laws of nature that we currently know, it’s a challenge for the hearer. Will you and I believe, embrace curiosity, and allow our minds to expand around the truth of God? Or will we doubt, get cynical, and keep the new idea cordoned off?

Action Points This Week

  1. Ask the Holy Spirit go guide you into all truth, releasing what that will look like to God.
  2. Look for opportunities to expose your own unbelief, so that you can…change the way you think!
  3. It can be helpful to write down two or three simple declarations of faith to speak aloud, thereby training the neural pathways in your brain to accept truth. Perhaps something like, “With God all things are possible, and all things are possible for him who believes. I believe, Lord; help my unbelief.”

I love this subject of Repentance. The best definition I have heard is basically what you are saying Randy, but it goes a hair further. "Go beyond the mind, into the larger mind" is a quote from James Finley from The Center for Action & Contemplation & his own ministry. I share this only because I literally experienced this in my own non-near-death entry to heaven. I let go of all my knowledge, not 99.9%, and found myself in a place of far greater knowledge of literally all things. I experienced a long list of "impossible to believe" realities in this place. Later I came to understand what is said in the bible as repentance is what I experienced. I believe it was true repentance and years later I heard James teaching on this. There is alot more to explain but for lack of space I will not.

Hi, I’m attend a Vineyard church where the gifts of the Spirit are active. During a ministry time someone called out “shoulder pain that happened during exercise “ which was me. I was excited because it was painful and wanted healing. Two Godly men prayed for me but no healing occurred. They gave words of encouragement about staying obedient and patient. It’s been a week and a half now and I am baffled ( but not angry at God) , thinking that when a condition is called out, healing will follow. Any thoughts you could share on my situation? I am remaining faithful , still believing healing will occur, but just wondering. Thanks, Mike

It's a blessing and encouragement to be able to hear such men as Clark, Johnson, etc. Believer's will always need to press into the Kingdom until we met the Lord, but it is never enough to completely satisfy my desire to finally be in the Kingdom that I've only "seen" in part. It is like hot lava flowing over the land but only burns and moves out the enemy' Praying for so very much, much more. There something mind-blowing about seeing the BODY OF CHRIST, by the Spirit, move upon His World. Lord Bless!!

@Valerie Scott Valerie, we are not affiliated with any one church. Randy attends several churches, depending on when he’s in town or traveling. There are several life-giving churches in the Mechanicsburg area, though, who believe in God’s power to heal. If you’re in this area and looking for suggestions of churches to visit, we can give a few places for you to check out. If, however, you’re in a different part of the country, we have a listing of Network churches you can check out at https://globalawakening.com/network/network-directory

@William Staffieri William, please check out a video on YouTube titled: Joseph Prince - Calvary Animation Video (What Happened at the Cross). Your faith for your own need and Alla’s I pray will be greatly increased. I thank God for all you have already maintained and encourage you to continue to believe in His desire for your continued healing, and for Alla, to cast out all matters relating to brain swelling and gastrointestinal issues, covering Alla with the Blood of Jesus. His Spirit is within you. He is mighty to save! Praying with you.

@Russ Hargadine Russ, we bless you in Jesus’ name, and command this back pain to go. We declare that Jesus’ blood covers your life, and that God is your healer. In Jesus’ name, I command all causes of pain and inflammation to go now, and for the Kingdom of God to rise up within your body.

@Michael Thank you for sharing this, Michael. We believe that God uses our conferences to advance people forward in their faith-walks, but it’s always so encouraging to hear from someone like yourself who was directly impacted by them. Bless you!

What an amazing testimony, to have seen first-hand the supernatural power of God to heal emotional and mental illnesses! That's wonderful. Perhaps you have a message to work on in regards to faith for emotional healing and mental healing!

@Elizabeth Wow, Elizabeth. That’s a hard thing, losing a job and being forced to live on faith, not to mention the pain of a rotator cuff injury. We bless what God is doing in your life, and pray that God covers you with His healing virtue today, in Jesus’ name.

@Annie Hi Annie! Randy’s doing great! He’s traveling around Brazil right now as part of Youth Power Invasion. His speaking style has always been authentic and unpretentious. The “stuttering” you mention is simply him speaking off the cuff, like anyone would when recounting a personal story that they hadn’t planned on sharing.

Is Randy OK? He seems to be stuttering a lot. Should we be praying for him? I saw him in Southampton in UK - I'd love him to come back again

Beautiful and timely message brother Randy! Every message the Lord has been giving me is on faith. It isn't a coincidence- I lost my job in April and just landed another job. Lol and behold, I was diagnosed with a rotator cuff today ( I can barely move my arm without excruciating pain), while am supposed to start the job next week. I am a nurse and need my arms. Thank God I know and believe He is still in the business of healing, and there is nothing impossible with Him. Because by the stripes of Jesus, I was healed!
Thank you for sharing this message!

@Emily Emily, you might like to check out Dr. Bob's teachings on Marilynandsarah.com. He has written a book entitled Dr. Bob's Guide to Prevent Surgery. In the 3 shows he talked about common conditions that can be easily rectified. An important one had to do with thyroid issues. Have a listen, I think you'll be glad you did.

@Emily Hi Emile. It seams how I was feeling in February 2019. All the symptoms you described and more that I was sleepy all day He time. I would sleepy 12 hours straight and 10:00 A.M I was sleepy again. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroid. Most people with Thyroid issue blood tests show normal I was told. Not saying that is what is going on with you just look ? familiar to me. By now I believe that the Lord already healed me. I went to Bethel Healing Rooms and they prayed for me. I haven’t felt anything since that. Praying ? for you.

I was there at ATD and this was one of the messages that really opened my mind up. Prior to ATD I believed I had a connection to the spirit and had heard his voice, but wasn't sure I had the capability to do anything but pray quietly. Because I don't know how it works. I still don't know the how of it but I can no longer hold back.
