Worship, Warfare, and the Kingdom: An Interview With Jeremy Riddle

The Past, Present, & Future of Worship

There is much warfare over worship these days. Never before have we had a situation where one can become famous for leading worship. This is our reality, and it can be good or bad depending on the heart of the worshipper. In this interview, I have a conversation with Jeremy Riddle. Jeremy and I share a common history with the Vineyard movement, and we continue to look backwards and forwards for what God has done and is continuing to do.

This was a fun interview for me, and I really felt the presence of God on our conversation. It’s good to remember where we’ve come from in light of where we want to go.

What is true revival? How can we stay pure in our hearts when we become well-known? How do we pastor a move of God so that it sustains and continues to honor God?

These are big questions. They are important questions. John Wimber said, “More is caught than taught.” My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will continue to move in all of us, to catch what He’s doing, to catch His heart.

Action Point: I invite you to comment below about your own experience and understanding of what defines pure worship. What defines revival. Perhaps tell us about your favorite experience in worship. What concerns you about modern worship?
