We are moved by Heidi’s message here of “God can use you”. He uses the little ones, the ones who say yes, the yielded ones, the ones whose posture is humility.
She brings up the iconic Old Testament story of Balaam and his donkey. It’s a great example of the importance of trusting and obeying God with what he has planned. This story shows us the extraordinary interplay that is constantly at work in the universe between God’s sovereignty and our free will. (Numbers 22-24)
Questions for Reflection – Are my thoughts consistent with my actions? When I obey God am I doing it grudgingly or with impure motives? Does my obedience to God flow from my love for him and nothing else?
