Marketing Manager

Use your marketing skills to advance the Kingdom of God! The Marketing Manager is responsible for communicating Global Awakening’s vision, personality, and ministry opportunities to the world.
Effective Date: April 1, 2022
Location: This is a full-time on-site position in Mechanicsburg, PA.
You will take into account the goals of the ministry’s leadership and the needs of our donor/customer base to craft a marketing strategy. You are our spokesperson online, ensuring that our digital and print communications are visually cohesive, carry our tone of voice, and generate excitement in our target audience. You must have a heart to minister and be able to work independently while also overseeing and collaborating with various teams.

Needed Qualifications

  • Familiarity and agreement with the mission and goals of the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related studies, and/or 5+ years proven experience in related fields
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in multi-channel marketing, including an ability to integrate social media organic & PPC, direct mail, event/trade show displays, website landing pages, OOH advertising, email marketing, and search PPC into cohesive campaigns
  • Ability to create engaging and valuable content that drives traffic, customer acquisition, retention and growth.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, including an ability to distill large spiritual concepts and values into short, impactful, and clever sentences for both organic and paid content.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own projects.
  • Ability to create engaging and valuable content that drives traffic, customer and donor acquisition, retention, and growth.
  • Experience with sales and marketing CRM systems. Preferred experience with ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, WordPress, Joomla, and Google Apps.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Implement the overall marketing strategy.
  • Coordinate marketing resources.
  • Supervise Marketing Assistant.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Plan and Implement Global Awakening’s marketing strategy, taking into account the goals of the leadership of the ministry, along with the needs of the target audience.
  • Build Global Awakening’s audience as measured by the following key performance indicators - email subscriber count, social media follower count, unique visitors to website landing/registration pages.
  • Oversee the ratio of public-facing content between nurturing content and promotional content.
  • Customize the brand marketing strategy to individual campaigns & oversee their implementation. To include, but not limited to: ad creation, brand building, promotional events and online/social programs.
  • Plan and manage the annual marketing calendar, working with departmental directors to determine priorities and deadlines.
  • Prepare and manage the digital marketing budget.
  • Own & report KPIs each month, optimizing to consistently perfect our marketing strategy & implementation. Provide consistent feedback, analytics and reports for individual campaigns.
  • Organize, lead, oversee & continue to train the Digital Marketing Assistant.
  • Track ROI from our sales strategy & consistently optimize profit margins.
  • Maintain and customize Active Campaign and other integrated marketing software services.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices.
  • Research competition, investigate benchmarks, and provide suggestions for improvement
