It's like coming home each January when Global School students return from winter break--eager to see friends, share testimonies, and continue with renewed energy toward all that God is doing in them! Often times they don't know how much they've grown until they go back to their "native place" and see the Holy Spirit back them up in ways they've not experienced before. Here's a testimony from a second year student:
A second year student faced whole new ways of needing to listen to Jesus' strategies as he visited Muslim family members in Pakistan. In delicate circumstances he still connected with people who have continued the pursuit of knowing more about Jesus. A first year student was invited to share one Sunday at both a Baptist church and a Word of Faith congregation near his home. As he shared at both places, people began to experience manifestations of the presence of the Spirit. At one of the churches he stopped and invited people for prayer. As he laid hands on them, the majority of the people rested under the power of God. One man who was healed of chronic back pain brought forward his wife, who was mostly blind in one eye. At the simple command, "Be healed in Jesus' name!" her sight was restored.
It's these kind of breakthrough experiences backed up by our God that launch our students forward and increase their faith--and ours--that He is always drawing us into more than we asked or imagined!
