As the 2016 year comes to a close, the GSSM team has a quick update for you along with some warm wishes for your Christmas holiday. Thank you for all of your continued support!
The second year Kappa class just completed their first student teaching assignments. Students practice in front of their peers delivering topics they will teach during practicum trips such as the Five Step Prayer Model for healing, Words of Knowledge, How to Hear God's Voice, Prophetic Ministry, and Deliverance. For some who have never spoken publicly to a group of people this is a big step and sometimes includes a strong case of nervousness! Yet every year this week is a revelation both to classmates and the staff as we discover incredible teaching gifts in our midst which the Lord has kept as a surprise until this moment. The staff is really proud of the effort and the results we witnessed day after day. Next up in January: another round of joyful surprises and power in student preaching!

As we enter into the Christmas and New Year season I am drawn the mindset of the magi as they encountered Christ. The Gospel of Matthew 2:11 tells us they bowed down and worshipped Him and gave Him gifts. This Christmas is a wonderful time to position ourselves fresh at the feet of Jesus in awe of this gift from Heaven. We humbly receive the gift of Christ and happily give ourselves to God so that we begin the New Year with hearts full of worship and submission to His greatness. May your have a very Merry Christmas filled with wonder and worship.
