I walked right by a man at the top of an escalator trying to figure out how he could get down without losing his heavy bag or his balance while his arm was in a sling. Megan told me to ask if I could carry his bag down. At the bottom he said he had had a metal prosthesis put in his shoulder 8 days before and he had severe pain day and night, which Jesus completely took away. We also prayed for a cab driver with pain in his thigh, which Jesus took away.
We went into a sports store in the mall and the Lord gave a word of knowledge about a woman’s back, which He healed. Also prayed for God to heal her broken heart over the recent loss of both her parents. Another guy who worked in the store was eager for prayer, but proudly proclaimed he was in perfect health. Megan got a word of knowledge that he was looking for a wife, to which he vigorously assented, so we prayed for that.
We went to the mall. As I waited outside one of the many stores I tried to encourage myself by affirming that some things in life were worse than shopping. A poke in the eye with a sharp stick, for example, would possibly be worse… The Lord gently suggested that perhaps I should pray, so I prayed for divine appointments. Soon after that a security guard stopped a few feet from me and grimaced as he massaged and tried to move his right shoulder. Able to discern the obvious, I asked him if his shoulder hurt. He said yes and I told him Jesus loves him and asked if I could pray for him.
There was a young woman who was maybe 20 years old that came up for prayer for drug addiction. She had poor eye contact, shoulders hunched forward, looked malnourished, and probably weighed about 85 lbs. As soon as I saw her I felt God’s heart for her and started telling her how much He loves her. She started sobbing as I spoke.
Sunday night at CCF church I gave out the word of knowledge of “Carlos”. When we did ministry time two Carlos’s came to me because of the word of knowledge. This is the testimony regarding the second Carlos. He had significant pain on the left side of his abdomen. He said he’d had it for months. When I asked if anything had happened in his life around the time this pain appeared, he said no. I asked him to put his hand on where the pain was and put my hand over his hand.
