A young man came up name Wellington. He was struggling with some emotional issues related to loss, depression, anxiety, and emptiness. He was feeling lost and pulled away from Jesus in the midst of his pain. I prayed for healing and comfort over his heart and mind. And, I prayed for the Holy Spirit to come and fill the emptiness he felt in a new way. I also broke off a spirit of fear and doubt. As I finished praying, joy spread over his face and he was tearing up. He said he felt something lift off and felt very light and at peace. As we talked a little more, I asked if he wanted to rededicate his life to Christ. He said, “Yes.” I led him through a prayer. At the end, I could sense the Holy Spirit was with him and restoring hope.
I had been given a word of knowledge for cancer of the blood. I noticed a man who had been sitting with a woman that appeared to be quite moved in the spirit. He kept pointing at me and the moment Randy released them to come forward for prayer, he guided her to me. He shared through the translator, once again DJ, that she had ovarian cancer.
A young woman came forward and the despair upon her face was palpable. She related through the translator that she experienced pain when having relations with her husband. She had been to doctors but they could not find anything wrong with her physically. As a result, her marriage was suffering.
Matt and I were enjoying worship. One of the interpreters came up to Matt and asked if he could pray for a man with lung cancer who had to depart the meeting early. We interviewed the man and began to pray for him. The man stated he had excruciating pain at a 10/10. Matt cursed the pain and then we re-interviewed him. He was feeling better.
I received a word of knowledge for pain, possibly broken bones in the left foot. I prayed for an older woman at her request. I laid hands on her foot and prayed three times because the first two times resulted in some relief but she said it was not complete absence of pain until after the third time.
