One of the long term missionaries had long standing pain in her right knee and hip. It had started with severe pain in her left big toe in the middle of the night. After a few attempts at prayer, with a little improvement, I felt we might stop. Then I experienced anger over the debilitating nature of the injury of this lady who was giving so much to so many. I shared a testimony about a healing just before I left on someone’s legs. I felt the Lord say “scorpion –- suck out the poison”. I asked if He really wanted me to suck her toe. “Yes” was the reply. So I wiped her toe with a wipe and sucked it and spat it out. Then I felt Him say “pull out the sting”, which I did, and we prayed for healing. She was immediately in less pain. I felt Him then say “walk, walk” – which she did – and as she kept walking up and down the steps the pain diminished and went away. She was so happy and so were we. Praise Jesus for the keys!
On the first night of the bush outreach I saw over half the village accept Jesus Christ into their hearts and there were 3 witch doctors who gave their lives to Christ. It was one of the most significant things that I saw God do. I could feel God’s presence and love for his people so strong that night. Another significant thing I saw God do was also during the first night of the bush. The village said they hadn’t had rain in over a year and a half, which they desperately needed. Our group sang “Let it Rain” on our way to the village and that night it poured down rain for hours. It was crazy how much rain came down. Needless to say, God provided for his people! Praise God!
On the day the widows came to church, I prayed for a woman who wanted to receive Jesus as her savior. I started to pray and the woman was powerfully touched. She called out to Jesus for quite a while. All I could understand washersp; saying Jesus’ name in every sentence. Then the Holy Spirit took me through a series of things to pray, and I saw her face and demeanor respond to each of these in turn. It was amazing! I asked for the “power” of the Holy Spirit to come, then broke off any “spiritual bonds”, spoke in “freedom”, then more “power”, then “peace” (and she went so quiet), then “love” (and she started to smile), then “joy” (and she burst out laughing), then “love” and “peace” again (and she went all soft and still). Absolutely brilliant – saved, healed and delivered in about 10 minutes. She couldn’t understand my language, and I couldn’t understand her language, but God understood us both and I just needed to listen to Him to know the keys. And we were both touched for His love for His people. He is amazing!
In transit to Iris, we had an unscheduled 2 night stop-over in Dares Salaam, due to flight schedules. First night: nightmares (unusual) had neglected to pray over the bed. Next day I had awful giddiness. I had never experienced this before. It was not due to food, water or medication.
