On Sunday morning, God gave me this strong word out of Romans 8:15: “Today, release the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out Abba Father”. The whole day was filled with prayer and hugs for men and women with orphan spirits that needed to receive this Spirit of son-ship. Then, on Sunday night, during the last service of the Healing School, as I walked around praying for God to move powerfully, God was preparing an extraordinary miracle.

A man with barely two words of English asked me to pray for a friend. A moment later, they pushed out a 7 year old boy (“JM”) in a wheelchair, surrounded by his parents and some friends. They told me he had autism, hadn’t walked for weeks, had been in the hospital for some disease, and was badly constipated. I couldn’t fully understand due to translation challenges. It all sounded very heavy, and though I felt the weight of the moment, I chose to focus my heart on Jesus and on the compassion He has for this child.

As I prayed for JM—over his legs, his mind, and his spirit—many people began filming, believing God would move. I rebuked and broke off any influence of unclean spirits, both in the boy and in the family line, including the influence of relatives involved in Candomblé, a Brazilian religion involving witchcraft and black magic. The boy was fearful and anxious, clinging to his mother, and at times I felt my own strength fading. Yet, as I gave him my wristband with the words of Jesus, “I am with you always,” faith returned to my heart. At one point, I tried to let him sit on my knee, to try to walk from there, but he panicked every time I moved. Eventually we sat together on a small concrete step outside—it was the only place where he calmed down a little so I could keep praying. I was sweating. My heart sank when nothing visible was happening.

When I prayed, “Lord, I need a key to this situation,” Lenka, a young woman from our team who had been praying with me, shared a word of knowledge. She sensed something in the home, an object linked to spiritism, that needed to be dealt with. The parents couldn’t think of anything at that moment.

Afterward I spoke with the father for a long time, and I ministered to him. He kept saying, “I am a sinner… I am a sinner… It’s all my fault!” And when I showed him from Scripture that those who believe in Jesus are sons and daughters, not condemned sinners, he looked at me with tears and asked time and again, “So I’m not a sinner? It’s not my fault?” When I kept saying, “No, you are a son of God”, he finally received the Spirit of Adoption that cries out “Abba Father”. “Now I can sleep again,” he said. He went home very relieved, smiling from ear to ear.

That night I wrote in my notes: “Happy for the father, but sadly, no change for the son.” But the next day everything shifted. The family remembered JM’s birthday (June 6th). He had received some T-shirts from a relative who practices Candomblé and spiritism. He never even wore them, but the morning after receiving them, he woke up unable to walk. JM’s parents described months of suffering: viral myositis that had taken their son’s ability to walk for 54 days (which is very rare, typical is 5–10 days), autism-related anxiety and fear. And then, at the end of November, after a strong fever, he ended up in the hospital with a sudden relapse (again very rare) that left him unable to walk again. And now, the day after prayer in church, they realized those shirts were still in the house. When they got home from bringing their son to school, still unable to walk, they found the T-shirts, threw it out into the dumpster, and broke its power in Jesus’ name.

Within minutes, the school principal sent a video: JM was walking normally as if nothing had ever happened. When his parents picked him up, he jumped at the classroom door shouting, “JM is walking! God healed JM!” Praise God! Just as in Acts 19:12, where even Paul’s cloths carried healing power, God showed me that His authority is greater than any spiritual darkness trying to copy that by putting power on T-shirts. Now the parents tell everyone the whole story, because they want people to know that God is alive and still breaks the works of darkness. For me, this miracle reminded me that Jesus is truly alive, powerful, and present with His people. He breaks curses, heals the sick, and restores families. And sometimes the breakthrough comes after we’ve already stopped expecting it. Glory to God alone!
