“The best way I have been able to describe it to my family and friends was like this: I feel as though I have been locked in solitary confinement on death row, only being let out of my cell for 1 hour a day for the last 20 years. After the prayer, it was as if the warden himself came to my cell, opened the door and told me I was free to go home. Even better than that, all those years of suffering and torment in my heart, spirit, soul and physical body, just disappeared as I walked out of the door of my confinement. It was as if Jesus himself took my hand and walked me out of the prison inside of me and the Holy Spirit flooded me with a peace that I cannot remember ever feeling. On the 10th of January, my doctor told me PTSD never goes away. Last night Jesus’ love & grace broke that lie. I thank Father God, and I wanted to thank you for being sensitive to seeing my need and having Mike come pray with me. That moment will forever change my life and I cannot wait for God to use me to serve other veterans & people who suffer with the same illness.”
