I prayed with an older lady, Amelia. She had fallen a few months before and damaged her shoulder. It was painful all the time and she had limited mobility. We prayed once for about 5 minutes. She felt slightly better and wanted to stop praying and just let God heal her ‘in His own time.’
I explained how we often pray many times for people and the pain goes down in stages. She was persuaded to continue. After I prayed with Amelia a second time, she got rather excited. She told us her arm was hot and that most of the pain had gone. With a big smile, she showed us that she now had a much improved mobility in her shoulder and arm.
