Went to the service, the widows gave us gifts – necklaces – and prayed for us with perseverance while the leaders (Heidi, Rolland, Mel Tari and Surpresa Sithole) – prayed and imparted. Afterwards, Dee and I went to visit widows’ houses. We walked with Suzanne and Julieth (two of the widows) for about 45 minutes to reach Suzanne’s home. We did not know what to expect or where to start, but God’s Spirit was with us, so we asked Suzanne if she needed prayer. She had pain all over her body, so we prayed and God healed her. We asked Julieth if she needed prayer – her heart and chest hurt and her wrists had pain. We asked the Lord to heal her in Jesus name and the pain left. She said her heart still beat irregularly, so we prayed again and Jesus made her completely well. We had New Testaments in English and Portuguese. Suzanne said she could read and Julieth said her family could read to her – so we gave them each a New Testament. They were so thankful and filled with Joy. So we left full of God’s grace and joy.

Sunday worship at the Pemba Base: I prayed for a missionary Jackie that I met here in May. As I prayed, the Holy Spirit overwhelmed her with love. As I prayed, I heard “Put your ring on her finger”. It was a ring I had purchased 7 years prior and rarely wore. I asked God, “Will it fit her?” I was reminded to “put it on her finger”. As Jackie awakened, she began sobbing. She had married Jesus in Israel 3 years prior. He told her that a ring would manifest on her finger. When that happened, her husband would return home to her and God. Jackie in faith had hung on to God’s promises. His faithfulness 7 years prior He (God) had promised her that her whole family would be restored. Her husband is the last. I am honored and privileged to have been a small part of witnessing His promises coming true. A testimony of grace, redemption, faithfulness and love.

A fear of most people would be the inability to communicate with the people. So God paired me with a beautiful young Mozambican who prayed with me and I with her during worship. God let us speak together in the Spirit. Our hearts were very similar. We talked to God together, held hands, and entered the throne room together. God told us we were precious and beautiful and we were His bride! We crawled up on His lap and wept together in the natural.

We were privileged to witness a purity ceremony for the young women coming of age. It was a ceremony of restoration of purity where the girls had their purity restored and committed themselves to the Lord and to wait for their husbands. The presence of the Lord was so sweet and so strong. I was undone by God’s love and embrace and He spoke volumes to me in that place of His glory and grace.

The most significant healing that touched my heart was a limp, almost dead baby that was prayed into. The baby had died two times previously I watched God pour life into his body. He became aware of us, started to cry, and looked alive! Then peace was prayed into him and he stopped crying and was so peaceful! As we finished, we turned around and heard his mute brother say “Jesus”!
