There are two kinds of people in this kingdom…

Some are called to go and some are called to send. None are called to be passive.

It’s only as we partner together to bring light into darkness that we’ll see the world awakened to the goodness and power of Jesus.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? — Romans 10:13–15

Not everyone can go into the distant places of the world (and of culture) to reach the lost. Not everyone is called to train the next generation of leaders and theologians. But like the church in Antioch sending Paul and Barnabus out, so you are able to direct prayers and funding to send others into the places you can’t go. Some go and some send. Both are required.

This Gospel we preach: that salvation of body, soul, and spirit has been purchased by Jesus; that the resurrection life of the age to come has broken into the present…this is the message that the world needs. It’s the full Gospel and it brings together denominations, regions, and skeptics. The Spirit is moving in the world, calling us as a ministry to new places and into new ways of ministering. But we must be sent.

1 Samuel 30 recounts a time when David and his men went into battle. Some of the men stayed back with the equipment and others went to fight. Aftwerward David set up a law which stated that those who fight (called to go) and those who stay with the equipment (called to send) both share equal portions of the rewards that follow victory. This is a Kingdom principal, that the fruit of ministry is equally shared both by those who go and by those who send.

Partners are the sending force that enables Global Awakening to bring light into dark places. You may not be able to go everywhere we go, but Partners share in the joy of changed lives through the Global Awakening ministry. Whether you’re on the front lines of battle or sending us out, together we share the rewards and blessings. Going & sending brought together: this is the power of partnership.

Maybe you’re not called to be part of Global Awakening’s sending force. That’s fine. But just like Abraham was blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12), so you’ve been filled with the Spirit and empowered with this Kingdom teaching so that you can be a blessing.
