Freedom Devotional Day 4 | Trauma Prayer

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on Me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…
-Isaiah 61:1

There is SO much hope for living free from the oppression of trauma! In Jesus’ Isaiah 61 mandate, He proclaimed that the anointing of the Holy Spirit has the power to heal broken hearts and to release people from captivity to spiritual and emotional darkness. The nature of the spirit of trauma is to keep you captive to what you did or what happened to you in the past. Trauma can manifest in various ways, from flashbacks, to constantly thinking about painful memories, to being caught in cycles of guilt, shame, and fear. Trauma can occur in our lives in a multitude of ways from experiencing war, disasters, or accidents to relational trauma of abuse, family disfunction, or church hurt. No matter what kind of trauma you have experienced in the past, the Spirit of God wants to set you free TODAY!

As you listen to the trauma prayer in this video, we invite you to listen in faith to receive the ministry of the Holy Spirit in every place of your life that has experienced a form of trauma. We pray for full freedom in your body, soul, and spirit in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!

Activation & Prayer

Thank You, Lord, that the power of the blood of Jesus has set me free from all sin, shame, and trauma from my past. Thank You that the price Jesus paid for me on the cross has paid my FULL debt with God. I renounce all guilt and any lie from the enemy that I am responsible for my trauma. Thank You that there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. I receive healing from all trauma in my mind and soul in Jesus’ name. I ask You, Holy Spirit to remove all trauma triggers from my mind and body in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name, I renounce every assignment of the spirit of trauma, the spirit of torment, and the spirit of fear in my life. I declare that I am a beloved child of God, and I receive the abundant life that He has for me in Christ. Amen.
